The Class '26s'
Preservation Debutant 26038 stars in Glamorgan
Tom Clift's fully restored Br Blue 26038 made its preservation debut on the 6th May 2012, remarkably hauling a train for the first time in 20 years following its withdrawal in 1992. The snow-plough fitted scottish loco hauls the first service of the day on the Barry Tourist Railway as it approaches Barry Island with three Gatwick Express coaches with Eurostar liveried and Eurostar dellner coupling fitted 73118 at the rear. The '26' is due to appear at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in a few weeks time, in a diesel gala which also includes 31466 from Lydney. Undoubtedly both locomotives will star at the event. The '26' and '73' will also be working on the 7th May
26025 and 26002 at Boat of Garten on the 29th May 2011.
