Large Logo liveried 37424 on the third short set, was sent as 5Z34 Kingmoor to Carnforth to replace 37409. The tractor then worked the 5C41 12:40 Carnforth to Barrow in Furness to pick up 37409's diagram from Barrow and is seen here at Furness Abbey, running 11 minutes late on the 27th March 2017.

Time to bid farewell to the class 442s....
The Branch Line Society in co-operation with Southern are operating a '442' farewell tour this coming Sunday to mark the end of the 442 'Wessex Express' in service, although many hope there is still a future somewhere on the railway network for these much liked units. Details of the upcoming farewell tour can be found here. On the 6th March 2017, 442408 and 442402 start the final week of the '442s' in passenger service, providing a 10 coach service for the peak-rush 1B47 1757 London Bridge to Brighton, captured here at London Bridge.
Previously the '442s' were deployed on the 30-minute Gatwick Express shuttles between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport before being replaced by new Electrostar '387s'. 442419 works the 1D52 1015 London Victoria to Gatwick Airport at Clapham Junction on the 31st July 2016.
