LNE K1 Class 2-6-0 no. 62005 hauls the 2Y61 10:15 Fort William to Mallaig "Jacobite" service at Loch Dubh near Polnish on the 21st June 2014. The Jacobite is now operated by West Coast Railways and has worked every summer under various names and operators since 1984. The railway is 41 miles long and the route is the same as shown in the Harry Potter films. Due to high demand, a second daily "Jacoite" service" was added from 2011. The Jacobite which is very popular with tourists, is known as one of the greatest rail journeys in the world, passing through breathe taking scenery.

On the 18th February 2012, LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 nos 45305 leads 44932 powering the 1Z86 London Euston to Carlisle (from Carnforth) at Docker. 86259 would work the train from London Euston to Carnforth and return from Preston, whilst the steam locomotives would work between Carnforth and Preston via the WCML, Carlisle and the S&C.

After resting on the Ebbw Vale line, the Royal train arrived East Usk Yard, Newport on the morning of the 11th July 2012 in the hands of Royal train liveried 67006 and Silver liveried 'Diamond Jubilee' 67026. Princess Elizabeth 46201 hauled the Royal train as the 08:00 East Usk Yard to Worcester via the marches. 67006 ran north light engine to Hereford where it would pilot the steam locomotive to Worcester. 46201 leading the Royal train with Prince Charles onboard and 67026 on the rear is illustrated at Howton Court Crossing following a lengthy water stop at Pontrilas.
After failing on the Royal Duchy, 60009 Union of South Africa has since been under repair at Buckfastleigh on the South Devon Railway. 28/08/15.

Due to 92203 'Black Prince' being unavailable to attend the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) Mixed traffic event, the 9F was replaced by West Country 'Pacific' No. 34007 'Wadebridge' which is captured at Stanford on Soar just north of Loughborough powering the 1D16 16:51 Loughborough to Ruddington with 78019 on the rear on the 4th May 2013.
SR Light Pacific 4-6-2 no. 34067 'Tangmere' climbs the bank at Upton Scudamore nearing Warminster on the 29th June 2013, hauling the 1Z85 16:35 Bristol Temple Meads to Three Bridges 'Bristol and Bath' railtour.
GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 no. 5029 "Nunney Castle" leads BR Britannia Class 7MT 4-6-0 no. 70013 Oliver Cromwell at Langstone Rock, Dawlish Warren on the 5th April 2009 powering the "Royal Duchy" charter to Par. D1015 Western Champion worked the 1Z52 London Paddington to Par as far as Westbury, where the steam locomotives took over. Unfortunately, 5029 failed at Newton Abbot with a hot axlebox and was left at Newton Abbot. D1015 rescued the train and piloted 70013 over the Devon Banks and into Cornwall eventually arriving at Par, 98 minutes late.

After taking over from Br Blue 86259 'Les Ross' at Preston, LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 no 45305 hauls the 1Z87 11:06 Preston to Carlisle via Hellifield and the Settle of Carlisle line. The tour had originated from London Euston as 1Z86. The Black Five makes an enthralling sight at Ribblehead station in wintry conditions on the 4th February 2012.
