Colas Rail '47s' work the Kings Norton and Cotswolds RHTT

Colas Rail 47727 leads 47739 with the 3S33 Didcot Parkway to Kings Norton railhead treatment train comprising of Sandite, a substance sprayed on the tracks to prevent wheel slipping from autumn leaves, climbs the 1 in 37 gradient, Lickey incline at Vigo on the 13th November 2015.

Colas Rail 47739 leads 47727 on the 3S33 Didcot Parkway to Kings Norton sandite train, having reversed at Barnt Green up goods loop, the pair of spoons head back to Bromsgrove descending the Lickey incline at Vigo on the 13th November 2015.

A shot not that too dissimilar to the first - Colas Rail's 47727 leads 47739 back again ascending the 1 in 37, Lickey incline with the 3S33 Didcot Parkway to Kings Norton RHTT via Barnt Green Up Goods loop and Bromsgrove on the 13th November 2015.

Sellafield closing in 2018 means rail flask traffic under threat

DRS 37605 leading 37259 await departure from Berkeley compound with the 6M56 to Crewe on the 13th November 2015. The pair of tractors have to run round at Sharpness Docks whilst working the outward 6V73, so they can then push the consist into the compound. The Berkeley flasks ran two days earlier with a pair of Northern Belle '57s' at the helm (scroll down) and a pair of flasks as opposed to just FNA 550040 here.

Northern Belle 57305/312 work 6M56 flasks...

DRS' Northern Belle liveried 57305 and 57312 await departure from Berkeley compound with the 6M56 Berkeley to Crewe flasks on the 11th November 2015.

The luxurious ronnies are now captured entering the mainline at Berkeley road junction just south of Cam and Dursley, running about 14 minutes ahead of schedule. The future of flasks comprising of nuclear waste on rail are under threat as Sellafield is set to close in 2018 - see link here.
